根據 Google 於週三公布的資料，Wordle 是美國在 2022 年最熱門的搜尋話題。玩家每天從這個字謎遊戲中，猜出隨機挑選的 5 個字母單字，遊戲從 1 月開始爆紅，社群媒體上充斥著玩家分享的猜測結果。
第 2 名是選舉結果，可能是 2022 期中選舉。第 3 名是 Betty White，美國最受歡迎的老人，她在 2021 年的最後一天去世。
選舉結果也是年度最熱門新聞搜尋，接著是伊莉莎白二世女王去世，以及俄羅斯軍隊持續入侵烏克蘭。
至於年度熱門搜尋人物第 1 名是強尼戴普，他贏得他提出的誹謗訴訟，控告前妻安伯赫德在 2018 年發表的一篇個人專欄中誹謗他。清單上第 2 名是威爾·史密斯，克里斯·洛克在 2022 年的奧斯卡頒獎典禮對他的妻子潔達·蘋姬·史密斯開玩笑，因此威爾·史密斯打了他一巴掌。第 3 名則是安伯赫德。
Google 的數據擷取自 1/1-11/27，話題項目的定義是「和 2021 年相比，2022 年一段持續的時間內，搜尋量竄升最高的搜尋字詞。」
