星期一早上 7:30 左右，一架 JetBlue 捷藍航空原預定從波士頓飛往 LA 的 B6877 班機，因遇鳥擊事件而緊急迫降在紐約約翰·甘迺迪國際機場。
JetBlue 發言人 Sharon Jones 表示已重新安排另外一架飛機給原機的 144 名乘客。
鳥擊事件發生的機率不高，但是危險性卻非常的高，上個月，一架日本航空飛往紐約的班機也因為鳥擊事件，而緊急迫降在東京成田國際機場。
