根據Twitter部落格文章，公司發現密碼以某種明文形式儲存在純文本中，現在警告用戶盡快更改密碼。
週四，Twitter稱已經修復好此項漏洞，並強調並未被任何人「違反或被任何人濫用」，但是他們仍然建議用戶採取額外的預防措施，並盡快重新設置密碼。另外，Twitter表示他們正實施計畫來防止此種錯誤再度發生。
